WATER Wednesday!
So, joined WW AGAIN last night. Decided to head to Danville for the meeting. Had heard excellent things about the leader there and I am so glad I went! SHE IS A HOOT! YEP! MOTIVATED is what I got and needed!
Zumba is my passion and with that said, I still need to drop 20 pounds. So, I have added LMP (Les Mills Pump) to my workout and am trying to eat healthier. The eating is more of a challenge as I eat on the fly so much. I need to take time to prepare, wash, cut, package my healthy foods so I can just grab and go when needed instead of grabbing that candy bar or that sweet that is always in my house.
The only way I can reach my goal is find the motivation I need, work it and see it through. I AM DETERMINED TO REACH MY 20 LB MARK BY JULY! (before then would be nice as well, LOL).
So, today my focus is on WATER! I don't get in enough water, so I will work on this one today and I'm tracking my foods so I can see what I am eating and hopefully that will assist me in making wiser choices. Time will tell.
So, Wednesday, HERE I AM! Let's ROLL!

Tuesday-how will it end???
Happy Tuesday!
Well, this morning I started off great. Had my Shakeology for breakfast and the day at work has gotten off to a good start as well. THEN Miss P arrives to work with ham biscuits. Now, she makes amazing ham biscuits and it is RUDE to turn one down. My parents raised me not to be rude, so of course I ate one.
The lingering and haunting question is "Will this day end well with my eating"? YES! Just because I indulged this morning doesn't mean I have failed. It just means I need to be aware and cautious of what I eat the remainder of the day.
I did download the Good Habits app on my i-Pod....it seems simple enough, so let me see if I can use it. Sometimes the simple apps are the ones that stump me the most. Lord knows that I need to work on some good habits. It is so easy to get into a routine and rut with eating and working out. The body gets use to what is being done day in and day out and gets stuck Time to shake and rattle this body so that I can start the weight loss trend again!
June 3rd is quickly approaching and that is one deadline for a goal a co-worker and I set. Whoever reaches goal will be treated to a pedi-cure by the other one. If we both make goal, we will enjoy a pedi together. I want that dang pedi and I don't want to pay for it, LOL!
Yep, today is going to end on a healthy note and I will succeed!

What am I DOING?
I am so crazy! Just accepted yet another challenge....Good health habits outside of my Zumba classes....with the spring/summer fashions finding places in our closets and drawers, our students are requesting workouts to help them look their best in their new found fashions for the season. WELL...as all wonderful ZUMBA instructors do, we accommodate our classes!
We can help folks in class, but what about outside of class? As instructors, do we use healthy habits outside of class? Do we carefully plan our meals, make sure we get our water in and get plenty of fruits and veggies in? Most of us work full-time jobs and hold 2 or 3 Zumba classes per week, so we are BUSY....I can't say that I am always diligent in the healthy living aspect, but I am a work in progress, just like the folks that attend my Zumba classes.
I am one that likes to take things slow. Too many new things throws me in a tailspin and I end up quitting it ALL! So, areas I need to work on are as follows:
1. WATER...I do not get in enough WATER.
2. I need to wear my HRM each time I work out. It is so easy to forget this little jewel when I am rushing
home to change out of dress clothes and into workout clothes for my Zumba class.
3. More Veggies/Fruits (this is always my down fall).
Okay, so I will start with those 3. Why only 3, because more than that and I am setting myself up for failure and I am no longer doing that. As I tell my class, do what you can, start slow and set goals, but reasonable goals...no one likes to fail...
Sure, we need a swift quick every now and then to get back on track and we need challenges, BUT, we also know what works for our personality types. Mine....give me a couple of things to tackle at a time and once I achieve that, I will find something else to replace these with.
So, I have the above challenge, PLUS a challenge with a co-worker to be down 1 pant size by June 3rd. I'm on my way to achieving this, but still have a ways to go. Will I make it...I plan on it and can't wait to sport a smaller size, but my main objective is to become healthier during this time frame as well.
So, in order to give my Zumba girls all I can and be on my game....I will become healthier over the next few months....
